Snow Patrol in Zurich - February 2025

Snow Patrol have announced their eagerly awaited return with a brand new album. The album, titled «The Forest Is The Path», comes six years after 2018's «Wildness» and was released on 13 September 2024 via Polydor Records.

Snow Patrol, now consisting of the trio Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid, gave a first taste of their new album with the first single «The Beginning».

«The Forest Is The Path» was written by Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid and contains twelve tracks. Fraser T Smith, Will Reynolds, Roy Kerr and Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA) also co-wrote some of the songs. The artwork for the album and the single is a painting by Gary Lightbody.

«The Forest is the Path» is an album based on reflection, introspection and questioning. One of the key building blocks, says Gary, was the idea of love from the distance of time. «I hadn't been in a relationship for a very long time, 10 years or more, so love from a distance for me meant the way a relationship from a distance of, say, 10 years sticks in your memory. That's something I hadn't thought of before to write about love. So it's like when you're in love, you're standing in the lobby of the Empire State Building. When you've broken up with that person, you're standing on the street. You can still see the building, but you're no longer in there. And then 10 years later you're standing in Brooklyn looking at the Manhattan skyline.»

On their tour with the new album, they're stopping in Zurich in February 2025.
