Micah Crandall-Bear and Heiko Schütz Exhibition at Filter 4
Filter 4 is a unique art and performance space in a former water reservoir on Bruderholz - a beautiful space with columns and arches.
The current exhibition at Filter 4 features works by Micah Crandall-Bear and Heiko Schütz.
A Sacramento, California native, Micah Crandall-Bear’s abstract landscape paintings examine Earth’s intrinsic resources and our disposition toward their accelerated transformation. His concept is infused with linear layers that cascade from atmospheric to subterranean. Landscape details hint at daily and seasonal shifts in light, evoking a sense of evolution and balance. He presents abstractions that inspire a deep and effusive connection to nature.
Swiss artist Heiko Schütz has worked with steel since the 1970s, focusing on sculptures and objects. The exhibition will be showing works from the past 40 years, and you'll be able to see three sculpture groups outside in the front of the Filter 4.
The exhibition is part of the Art Basel VIP events. There's a shuttle bus from Art Basel / Isteinerstrasse, corner of Bleichestrasse. Service from 3 p.m. on the day of the Vernissage as well as the other Art Basel days.
