EHC Basel defeated EHC Brandis 6-2
Over 700 fans packed the St Jakob Arena for an exciting night of hockey.
Jonathan Ast brought the fans to their feet with an unassisted goal after only 5 minutes into the first period.
Teammate Brügger scored Basel’s second goal a minute later after assists from Flavio Cola and Joshua Schnellmann.
Basel’s Damon Puntis added a third goal shortly thereafter thanks to an assist from Alessio Guantario.
Cola took advantage of a beautiful pass from Puntus and gave Basel their fourth goal in 13 minutes.
Brandis put themselves on the board with a goal one minute later.
Basel’s Uinter Guerra gave his team their fifth goal after 4 minutes into the second period after an assist from Cola.
Brandis gave themselves their second goal two minutes later.
Guantario put the match further out of reach in the third period by scoring Basel’s sixth goal.
This victory moves ECH Basel up to 6th place in the division. The team is only one point away from the fifth place spot.
