St. Gallen’s Cedric Ittens silenced the crowd at the 56 minute mark by scoring an unassisted goal for his team.
FC Basel received a break ten minutes later when St. Gallen’s Jordi Quintilla inadvertently shot the ball in his own goal.
The match remained tied at 1 goal apiece until the 94th minute. That was when Marco Aratore scored the second goal for St. Gallen and won the match for his team.
