Author Martina Sonderegger joined us to talk about her German children's book "Junas Traumreise" ("Juna's Dream Voyage"). It's the story of 8-year-old Juna who is sitting in her room feeling sad and wishing she could fly. Suddenly, there's a knock on her window – two shooting stars have come to say hello.

Happy 2023 and welcome back to a new season of The English Show! We kick things off this year with an outlook on some awesome upcoming concerts by female artists. A few of them are finally getting to tour Europe and perform shows which were long postponed due to the pandemic (which hopefully stays in the rear-view).

The Christmas season in the German speaking part of Switzerland, which includes Basel, begins on the first day of Advent - this year that was on the 27th of November.

Mizmorim Kammermusik Festival returns to Basel for its January 2023 season with "Projekt Blau-Weiss". Michal Lewkowicz, artistic director of the festival which runs from the 18th to the 22nd of January 2023, was in the studio with us tonight to tell us about the festival, its theme for 2023, and what's on offer.
