Welcome back from our "Sommerpause". That's "summer break" in German, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to resume our programming. It's been a cool, wet summer so far, and, as if on cue, our return to the airwaves has been greeted by the sun and warmth we normally expect in Basel this time of year.

One of the original members of The English Show hosting crew, none other than Mr. Jake Dixon, joined us in the studio tonight. Jake is a New Yorker who has made Switzerland his home for over a decade. He is an English teacher and lives with his beautiful girlfriend and their adorable cat.

For the past 9 years, Basel Life Magazine has been Basel’s go-to English-language resource for everything you need to know about life in Basel. But the pandemic has hit the cultural sector hard, and unfortunately the publication of Basel Life Magazine will have to end with the July/August issue.
