Coronavirus Update: as of 22 June, many measures put in place to fight the coronavirus have been lifted. You'll find a poster of the measures eased and the restrictions still in place here. Only the ban on large-scale events for over 1000 people is set to remain in place until the end of August.

Personal responsibility remains important: washing your hands regularly with soap and water and keeping your distance are still the best ways of preventing infection. Continue to observe the rules on hygiene and social distancing as the coronavirus should not be allowed to spread again.

You can find loads of downloadable material - posters, screens, videos - with up-to-date information in English right here.

Focusing on Basel and its alternative cultural and gastronomic scene, many bars, restaurants and alternative spaces have been hit hard by the lockdown of recent months. A few of them have come together as a "Verein" called "kollektiverhalt". The collective includes the Hirscheneck, Capri-Bar, Eiscafé Acero, Carambolage Bar, Infoladen Magazin, Druckkollektiv Phönix and more. If you've been to any of these places for drinks, ice cream, to hang out and read, or to use their printing services, feel free to support them with a donation. You'll find the details on the kollektiverhalt website.

If you'd like to continue to support Basel artists, Kulturklinik is a Basel website and online shop where you can donate or buy art or music or services like music lessons.

Our music theme was all about lockdown albums; songs created and recorded during coronavirus lockdown in Indianapolis, Manchester, Glasgow, and Salzburg. The albums are "Safe In Sound (Home Recordings from Quarantine)" by Joyful Noise Recordings, Lockdown Live! - Volume 1 by Red Balloon Music and Manchestertaper, Lockdown Unplugged by Ripcord Records, and Lockdown LP by P Lab Recordings. We played:

Natalie McCool - Someone Nue (Live from Salford Music Festival - 31-05-2020)

Helvetia - Psychic Life
