The WIND Part II, Nic Oatridge Snow Report

We kicked around the archives this week to find some of our old ski reports from our esteemed colleague: Nic Oatridge.  If you've been a long time fan you will recall that Nic publishes information about winter sports in Switzerland on his website.  Luckily, his reports from a few years ago are as relevant today as they were when recorded.  This week, just in time for the snow that has been accumulating at higher elevations, we brought you two of his ski reports: 1) Feldberg (DE) - the closest proper skiing to Basel, only an hour by car and popular with families and beginners; 2) Zermatt (CH) - the grandaddy of ski resorts with plenty to offer in the way of pistes, posh dining and accomodation.

We couldn't resist continuing the musical theme from last week as the winds picked up once again, shaking our shutters at night and setting new records for windspeed in Switzerland:
