Kevin Richmond's Dance Round-Up, Best Places To Eat Thai

Broadcast on:
3 May, 2016

Our Arts Correspondent Kevin Richmond came in to talk dance! We make a start with Theater Basel and Basel Ballet's ongoing production of Sleeping Beauty from Alejandro Cerrudo, Tevje from Richard Wherlock and the premiere of Object Present from Hofesh Shechter and Itzik Galili.

The Roxy Theater is giving its 5th Mixed Pickels programme in mid-May, whilst the Alte Rumfabrik Studio is presenting two dancers, Ursina Natalia Früh and Romana Ramer.

Kaserne Basel is full of performances this spring for the young and the not-so-young, and there's a new venture for the Neues Theater am Bahnhof in Dornach-Arlesheim, with LOOP Tanz 1, three dance pieces from three Basel-based Spanish choreographers. Listen to the segment again here.

Our food guru Sue Style talked about Thai cuisine today - think lemongrass, chilis, ginger, and coconut milk. Head to the Restaurant Nordbahnhof for Thai specialities. Owned by a Swiss-Thai family and staffed by family members, this is a typical Quartierbeiz or local pub/friendly neighbourhood resto in the St Johanns Quartier - go check it out!

Depeche Mode singer Dave Gahan is celebrating his birthday on May 9th - so our music theme is all Depeche Mode. We played:

Personal Jesus (Stargate Mix)

Halo

All That's Mine

Oh Well

Stripped

Alone

Better Days

Enjoy The Silence

John The Revelator

A Question Of Time

Never Let Me Down Again
