Storks arriving back at Zolli Basel

The first of the storks are arriving back in Basel from ther winter quarters in southern Spain or even further south, signalling the start of spring even if the weather really isn’t. Basel Zoo hosts several pairs of storks each year, including one called Lenny. They tracked Lenny with a transmittor, and they found that he came home on the 20th of February, 2017.

This is just one example, and you and your children can look out for more and submit photos and videos to www.zoobasel.ch/amelios into a competition to win tickets to Basel Zoo to see the storks, or just go and have a look for yourself to try and bring spring forward for us.
