The youngest son of the legendary Nigerian afro-beat pioneer Fela Kuti followed in his father’s footsteps back in 1997 at the young age of 14 and became the bandleader of Egypt 80 after his father’s sudden death. The now 33-year-old inherited a difficult legacy, as afro-beat - at the heart of which is African self-reliance - is a style of music, a lifestyle and a political attitude. On his latest album «Black Times» (to be released on 2 March 2018), Seun Kuti has collaborated with no less than the Mexican guitar wizard Carlos Santana.
