Parcours Humain Exhibition Series

Event Dates:
23 April, 2017 - 17:00 - 5 June, 2017 - 17:00

The Switzerland-wide exhibition series "Parcours Humain" raises the question of humanity in the context of the current refugee crisis through art.

The exhibition relies on strong socio-cultural elements: through artistic activities, workshops with schools and asylum organizations as well as collaboration with aid agencies, "Parcours Humain" has created three locations that support dialogue, encounters between people, and a deeper understanding of art and humanity.

Basel is historically linked to humanism. As a border city, it has been debating the question of whether to build bridges or walls for centuries.

This question is made tangible through the exhibitions' works of art for humanity. The three locations, linked thematically, are in the Dreispitz area (Salon Mondial), Klybeck (Holzpark) and in Weil am Rhein (Stapfelhus).
