Mogwai (UK) at Kaserne Basel

Over the past 21 years, Scottish post-rock band Mogwai has become one of the key figures of the alternative British music scene. Today, Mogwai is very different to the four youngsters who in 1996 launched their debut single «Tuner/Lower» into a music scene that was still floundering in a late Britpop hangover. From the very start Stuart Braithwaite, Dominic Aitchison, Martin Bulloch, John Cummings and later also Barry Burns have always looked to the future. During the following two decades, they not only managed to remain true to themselves as a band but also to survive the genre they created.
