Audio Dope (CH) at Parterre Basel

Basel producer Audio Dope began his musical career by producing traditional beats inspired by hip-hop of the late '90s until he fell in love with instrumental music. He soon found his own recipe, combining organic samples and vocal fragments with fresh synths and crisp drums. His pieces veer between hip-hop, downtempo and trip-hop and have led to support slots for international greats like Kaytranada, Maribou State, Gaslamp Killer or Odesza and shows at festivals like the Montreux Jazz, Zurich Openair and Openair Frauenfeld. Audio Dope has released four much-lauded releases on BandCamp and has been played and shared by international radio stations and blogs like BBC one, Indie Shuffle, Hillydilldy or EarMilk.

He started off solo with a live or DJ set; since the spring of 2017, he has been performing with band elements.
